Things to Do in London: A Weekend Itinerary

So you have just 48hrs in London and want to get the most out of the time.

Here is my sample itinerary to snap the tourist hot spots and have fun weekend:

Day One:

I’m a big fan of running – why not take a morning run or stroll along the Thames. Alternatively take a cycle tour for a fun way to see all of the top sights. I took my sister on a cycle tour with BrakeAway Bike Tours, even though neither of us had cycled in years – it was super easy and fun!

Lunch? As much as I adore Borough Market, for something a little different head to the nearby Maltby Street Market.

Take a walk through Regents St and Oxford St, and visit the British Museum (its free!).

Stroll to Covent garden, make sure you snap a photo in colourful Neals Yard! Indulge in an ice cream from Milk Train, were they wrap the cone in candyfloss.

In the evening, I suggest grabbing some last minute tickets for a theatre show! I’v been to see Wicked and Matilda both of which I enjoyed. I love the Today Tix app for buying last minute theatre tickets  (P.S. use my refferal link for £10 off, and I also get £10 credit).

Day Two:

Start your day with a morning stroll from Little Venice along Regents Canal, which is lined with colourful boats.

Ending in Camden, explore the bustling market stalls and pick up some breakfast (there are endless Bakery options). Cereal Killer Cafe boasts an impressive list of over a hundred cereals, and you can even opt for a cereal cocktail.

Camden is home to quirky pop up stalls and the side streets are scattered with street art.

Walk along to Primrose Hill, this affluent area is home to quaint coffee shops and beer gardens. Passing through Primrose Hill, continue on to Regents Park. Why not visit London Zoo, or hire a pedalos on the Boating Lake!

Head to a rooftop bar or restaurant for amazing city views. Check out this roundup of London’s best rooftop bars. Alternatively prebook tickets for the Sky Garden.

In the evening cosy up in Gordons ,London’s oldest wine bar, with a bottle of red and some Charcuterie.
